Compare each room with the initial inventory, photograph disagreements and record dated meter readings and numbers. Distinguish readings from SONEDE’s explained water bill: a meter photo is not a final account. Record returned keys and sign the checkout record if agreed.
Request a breakdown
Request the initial deposit, each proposed deduction with evidence and the stated balance in writing. For example: ‘Please itemise the deduction and supporting document.’ Preserve evidence and seek appropriate advice if disputed; do not automatically treat the deposit as the final rent.
