Record the period, meter number and readings, then compare a similar-length period. The total may also include an earlier balance, fixed charges or ONAS sanitation.
Gather useful evidence
Keep the compared bills, a dated meter photo and any repair records. Have a suspected leak assessed; do not dismantle the meter.
